Coffee in Good Spirits (ICIGS)

The Irish Coffee in Good Spirits Championship combines the art of coffee and cocktail-making, challenging participants to create innovative and perfectly balanced coffee cocktails. This unique competition celebrates creativity, technical skill, and the rich tradition of coffee cocktails, with a focus on flavor harmony, presentation, and originality. Competitors craft both a classic Irish Coffee and a signature coffee cocktail, impressing judges with their ability to blend coffee’s depth with the complexity of spirits.

This competitions has not been a regular feature in the Irish competition calendar, but we would like to encourage both baristas and bartenders alike to get involved. The Irish Coffee in Good Spirits Championship is an exciting chance to explore the crossover between coffee and mixology, showcasing one-of-a-kind creations. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or trying your hand for the first time, this event invites you to experiment, showcase your flair, and share your passion for coffee cocktails with an enthusiastic audience.

    It is imperative that any potential competitor or judge reads through and understands the rules of the competition.

  • Details on competitor registration will be shared on SCA Ireland website, social media and email. Once live, tickets should be bought from the SCA Ireland website, on a first come, first served basis.

  • If you’re not sure about competing or judging, but would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you! We need volunteers to help with the running of the competition, everything from backstage managing, timekeeping to stage running. Even if it’s one day, we really value your time and input.
